Red Stag

Another world class trophy on offer through Southern Mountain Adventures is Red Stag. Imported to New Zealand in the 1800’s the Red Stag is one of the most sought after trophies in the world. This is partly due to the historical significance of hunting this animal – they have been hunted for centuries by British and European aristocracy – but also because of their wonderful heads.

Red Stag can be hunted from February through to July with the roar being from March to April. It is especially exciting to hunt roaring Red Stags.
